Learning to walk with Jesus

Out of the 35000 choices that we make each day, this little story of Mary and Martha teaches us that choosing to listen to Jesus is the best and most important choice we can make.

Follower of Jesus are those who are learning to be a neighbour from heaven. Through this encounter with a lawyer we have a story that will test us, a story that will show us THE best neighbour in heaven and a story that will teach us what being a neighbour from heaven will look like.

Jesus gives his followers some instructions as he sends them out on mission. 3 Big instructions that help us as sent-ones today.

When Jesus says “follow me” He calls us to be as fully devoted to Him as He was to us. Cross shaped devotion to Jesus means a willingness to walk His road, to share His priorities, and to share His forward-facing commitment.

Luke 9:51-56. As the disciples walk along the road with Jesus he is teaching them what it looks like to be on mission in a way that is shaped by the cross. This is the same mission he has left disciples with today.
